Haldo and welcome to PnB, my name is BlueTiger and I'll be your guide. Why? Because I'm board and wanted to do something I felt was useful. So I'm making a guide ^^
Part 1: Basic Info
Plush and Blood Presents: The Unstuffed
First and formost, in case you wound up here by means other then the Comic, go check out the comic that's the reason for this forum's existance.
TOC
Next, meet TiredOrangeCat, aka TOC. (I like to call him God, but don't feel like you have to, I just think he's that awesome.) He's the creator of the PnB world ^^ As you can see he's got a lot of projects going on besides PnB, and rumors say that he's got some of the Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow variety, though I've no confirmation of that.
Lexicon
Have no idea what I ment by Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow? General Flaw, who sadly hasn't been very active, has posted a lexicon for all the words we like to use that you may or may not know ^^
Chat
Plush and Blood has it's very own chat room. TOC pays for it himself out of his own pocket ^^ It's very popular and you're sure to find at least a few critters about. *Note that the chat is subject to the same rules as the forum
Part 2: Mods
wisefox
Wisefox is one of the mods. I'd say he's the "head" mod but I don't know that they really have a "head" mod. Suffice to say it, he tends to be the one that handles most of the situations. If you have a problem he's your man ^^ He's also the most powerful magic user, unless you count TOC's God-powers and a fairly talented writer and artist, though he won't admit to being one past the stick figures.
Wrincewind
The other mods, Wrince and Pants. Wrince, a rat, is something of a mad scientist. If you're looking for info on how the science of things work around the forum he's your man. Just don't let him experiment on you >.>
Panther
Pants tends to be quieter then the other two, but when he gets swinging in the chat it's always fun ^^
Part 3: Artists
That's right Artists, they're a pretty big part of the forum so I thought there should be a section dedicated to them ^^ TOC isn't here of course, as he's the author of the comic itself, but needless to say he's a great artist too.
*Disclaimer; most people here have posted art, but I wanted to show off the best artist we have here. Don't be insulted if I didn't include you, I still love your work ^^

How can you really describe Clod? He's just awesome. And one of the few people I've met I'd label wise.
Goldquiver
Very talented artist who blends traditonal and digital styles and has a thing for dragons.
MissyZoe
I can't remember who called her it first, but "Goddess of Art" certainly applies. It tends to contain lots of blood or half-naked chicks, sometimes both. You've been warned. 0o
Ninko
I've been called Ninko's only fanboy, so I'm just going to let her work speak for itself to prevent myself rambling. Be sure to check out her comic As The Chat Turns too ^^ (Yes, I know others have comics here, but I'm in this one, so I'm promting it. Nya~)
Qazer
Finish photogapher. And he's damn good.
Well, that sums up the guide. I hope you enjoy your stay at PnB ^^ Check back from time to time, I'll try and keep this updated.

^^What he said. Blue Tiger pretty much summed it up very eloquently. Just an tiny addendum, Wrince is a Chat mod, Fox and Panther are the only Forum mods. Wrince is just kind enough to keep an eye on things. Thanks BT.
We are different then most kinds of forums, we are a family here. I often like to refer to it as Cheers, we all come in, know eachother, feel safe, and have a great time. We all watch out for eachother and are kind to those who are new.

i now feel sort of slightly semi-obliged to write a guide to the chat... universe, it seems to have become. expect that within the next year...
screw it. expect it here. =D
the chat, as mentioned, is paid for out of TOC's own pocket. it's a privalage, and RP's are run there occasionally. there are three rooms in the chat: one for talking, whether in character or out of character [if you even have one!] and two for RPs, wether carefully planned or spontaneous.
the chatroom has pretty much anything you'd expect and / or need: obligatory sofa[s] and/or armchair[s], fireplace, TV, kitchen, bar, dungeons and caverns located through a handy dandy trapdoor, my Mad Scientist labs [the parts of it i'd trust fiddlers with, nothing TOO deadly here], and a few doors to Outside.
so what's outside? truth is, i can't say. it always seems to be different depending on who opens the door first. but it's always been on earth.... So far, at least.
what else is there to mention? Drakel has a large space empire with a lot of ships, so be careful about flying around, you might catch unwanted attention from enemies. as long as you don't go around shooting things, you should be fine.
if you're in an RP, make sure to follow the roleplaying rules and you'll be fine.
roleplaying comes in three flavours in the chat: there's the structured RPs, the random, psuedo RPs and the general passive roleplays.
structured RPs are like those run by wisefox and [formerly, not for a while now] TOC. these follow the rules of the player's handbook, involve character sheets and a lot of effort. they are scheduled, normally lasting several hours, one day a week.
the Random Pseudo RP's normally spontaneously emerge from chat conversation. example could run like this.
a: i'm hungry now...
b: we could go find something to eat.
c: TO KFC!
a: okay, sounds cool. so, where's the exit?
from thereon in, you're playing a psuedo RP.
passive RP is what happens before a psuedo RP. if any actions happen, you're in character for them, but you're not actually really roleplaying anything.
passive RP generally occours in the chatroom's main area, 'cat's cradle'. structured RPs are, or should be, arranged to run in the third room, 'RPG'ing'. psuedo RPs, when it becomes clear they ARE psuedo RPs, should be moved to room 2, more 'RPG'ingness'
what else can i say? if you're bored, feel free to do something, but don't expect others to entertain you; if you have a problem, contact a mod. if a mod isn't on the chat, message them on the forum, email them, MSN them... by 'a mod' i mean fox, TOC, panther, or myself [me only if it's a chat problem] if you want some cool science stuff, just say the word and i'll give you something awesome... >=D

just one small addendum, The main room is for general conversation and fun. If you feel the need to RP please move to one of the additional rooms so that you do not interrupt the Main room. That is all

while I remember, here's a brief outline of how the respawn system works in chat.
if a new user/user with no way to respawn asks me for a respawn, I'll set it up. a machine monitors them in chat. if/when they die, it retroactively scan their brain and makes a clone. in other words, it goes back a few minutes and scans their brain, then back a few months to make a clone. then, moments after they die, an identical copy of them walks in through a side door.
but, up to that point, usually no-one will kill them, because that would be. um. mean.
note also that alternate reasons for coming back are allowed, and even encouraged.
