Same here, I haven't had time to sit down with one. And I'll be gone all weekend again...

i've got a couple of books going at the moment:
Tales of a monster hunter, by peter cushing. it's a collection of classic horror stories. i'm currently on 'there shall be no darkness', a classic werewolf tale.
i'm also reading 'Wintersmith' By Terry Pratchett.

this is peter cushing of pretty much every hammer horror film. Don't bother going to barnes and noble: this book was printed in the seventies. i only found it by chance - our library was throwing out some old books, and i pulled this one out.

He played baron frankenstien, van helsing, and Grand Moff Tarkin in the original Star Wars film.

and he played doctor who in two of the movies. =^^=

I don't read a whole lot, and it's mostly/all fantasy anyway... and stuff I don't think would be considered 'new classics'. Anyway, right now I'm reading 'A Crown of Swords' -7th book in the Wheel of Time series and 'The Pool of Two Moons' -2nd book in The Witches of Eileanan series.

I too, like Pipes, read more than one book at a time. They are...:

Kitty Goes to Washington-Carrie Vaughn

The Good, The Bad, and the Undead-Kim Harrison

Odd Thomas-Dean Koontz

The Naming-Alison Croggon

The Legend of Drizzt: Homeland-R.A. Salvatore

The GunSlinger-Stephen King

John Strange and Mr. Norrel-Susanna Clarke

Needless to say, reading this many books at once makes people make fun of me. But once people realize I have no qualms against going off on someone twice my size and weight, they generally back off. X3
