Rereading Holes- Louis Sachar I love this book.
Has anyone read "And then there were none"?
Also is Coraline a good book? Because it looks interesting and it reminds me of Psychonaunts. _________________

Corlaine is a great book. The movie, surprisingly, was better though IMO.
The movie added some stuff and took some stuff out of the book, so it's worth seeing and reading them. The book is much darker too. |

oh, wow, holes!
we did that book in english. i love the way it's an intricate knot of plots and bits, with every loose end tied up...mister sir, the girlscout camp, the peaches, the shoes, the water, the onions, the song... i still remember it all. =D _________________

That is a great book. It's always the one I've thought of when I think of mysteries. X3
I've just finished Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling. It's pretty good, actually, but I wouldn't call it a must-read, even for Harry Potter fans. =P _________________

Wow, must be the first time I post here XP
Anyway, the book I'm currently reading (again) is The Fourth Dimension by Rudy Rucker. Not a novel but a 'guide' to the fourth dimension (physical, not as time). It explains things like spacetime curvature and Einstein-Rosen bridges very clearly through analogies with a 2-dimensional equivalent, in a plane called Flatland (inhabited by several geometric shapes). It also deals with 4-dimensional objects such as tesseracts and hyperspheres. The reason this is the second time I'm reading it is because I didn't get it the first time, and now I'm giving it another shot. I must say that I'm starting to get it. A very good book to read if you're interested in higher geometry. _________________ http://plushandblood.com/chat/flashchat.php

Sorry to double-post, but just finished the book Deerskin by Robin McKinley, and found it very captivating. Quite well-written and practically impossible to lay down when I first started reading it =) _________________ "Whenever I can't find myself, I just look down - and there I am!" - quote from one of my scouts, the sweetest 6-year old boy |

cool. ^^ i'm currently reading Atlantis... i forget who by, but it's the most realistic possibility for the history of the myth of atlantis. not a thrilling read, but it's got some good bits and is sound reading. nice stuff overall. three paws up. _________________
