well I'm almost finished with A Wizards Holiday the seventh book in the young wizards series. The 7th one is the first one in a while to truly recapture my interest int he series. They were all good but sometimes they seem to slog down. The 7th one recaptured the feel and awe of the first few. I highly recommend this series. ^^

good call. I read the first one when I was twelve, and I was freaking out, because it was almost 400 pages. not as impressive as I thought, because I found it a while ago, and realized, not only is it the paperback version, it's the large-type one, too...

Still, they are freaking awesome books.

Is it good? I know a friend of mine was reading it but he kinda put it down after a while. So basically, I'm wondering if the reviews are mixed about that bookie ^^;

Yeah, I heard it gets awfully descriptive which makes it for a tough read, but otherwise good.

I HIGHLY highly highly reccomend the "Barsoon" Series from Edgar Rice Burroughs. While reading the book actually caused me to jump out of my chair and cheer for the main character... thats the only book that has ever done that too me. Not only once, but many many many times. It makes the movie 300 look like a pillow fight. A quote from book 2

John Cater (speaking to his companion as they are hopelessly outnumbered) - "The only thing we can do is take things as they come. And at least have the satisfaction of knowing who ever slays us eventually will have far greater numbers of their own dead to count then they will get in return."

There's not just bodies hitting the floor in these books, there are PILES of bodies, cities worth of bodies...

my new hero John Carter of Mars

Almost done with Small Favor by Jim Butcher....the 10th book in the Dresden Files series....all most excellent books. I highly recommend them! Especially if you're yearning for a good book series to get into!
