I just finished reading a charming little tale called Mrs. Marlowe's Mice

It's got great artwork, and a cute story. Got any children's books you still love?

Redwall series, Beatrix Potter (OMG I used to pee myself laughing when my dad did the funny voices for Tale of Two Bad Mice!), House at Pooh corner (and Tigger jumped on the tablecloth and made wurrah wurrah noises Laughing ) The Hungry Caterpillar, anything by Dick King Smith, plus ALL the Roald Dhals, at least a million times each.

Anything by Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein, Brian Jaques, Lemony Snicket, Cornelia Funke, and Roald Dahl, as well as half a million books I can't remember and another half a million I still love but are tucked away into storage.

In fact, I still read kids books. They have the best stories! ^^
Most recent reading below my age was Larklight by Phillip Reeve, a nifty little find from a used bookshop. Good luck finding it in the states, it's absolutely soaked in British imperialism. ^^

Cornelia Funke wrote Dragon Rider, The Theif Lord, Inkheart, and Inkspell. Inkheart is going to be made into a movie, but I don't hold high hopes for it. Fun fact! She's the biggest selling children's author after J.K. Rowling in her country, Germany. ^^

I liked Inkheart, but I hated Meggie. She cried so much, and quoted the most obscure references that no one should get but understood anyway somehow.

"I hate white, it's the color of Death!"
"Yes, yes. Like the white death hounds of Odin drawn from his chariot."
